Maybe I didn't look far enough back but I couldn't find anything specifically about glyphs. I was wondering which glyphs would be suggested, both for a holy priest and a discipline priest.

I can't remember which glyphs I actually have on, but I know that I have the prayer of healing glyph and not the circle of healing glyph (I'm cookie-cutter holy), however my heal style tends to be, judging from comments I've read on these forums, somewhat between that of a holy and a disc priest. Also, would it be worth using one glyph over another after 3.0.8 and the CoH cooldown is implemented?

Thanks so much!

Well, for disc priests the ones I like are the PoH glyph, the Flash Heal glyph and the Shield glyph. Plays nicely to the strengths of Disc.

For disc the Holy Nova glyph makes it a very nice instant cast AoE heal, only downfalls are the party and range limitations.

I'm respeccing back and forth all the time lately, shadow for dailies and finishing all those quests off and I've been taking turns on disc and holy for my weekend 5man runs. (I enjoy experimenting) if I'm with friends I go Disc (my fave), if i'm in a pickup group I go Holy (only so my brain doesn't hurt so much)
I cant live without Glyph of Holy Nova. Its my little top em up or when your flying through the air or getting boundced around I like to tap that too. And once the cooldown for CoH is in effect this might help.
I also have Glyph of Flash Heal- since I use it alot now.
And Glyph of Power Word Shield- great for Disc spec.

For minor i have Levitate, Fortitude and Shadowfiend

I thought about it after seeing a few replies to my post and I think this is what I currently have:

Major: Power Word Shield, Flash Heal, Prayer of Healing
Minor: Levitate, Fortitude, Shadowfiend

Just wasn't sure if I was selling myself short as a holy priest with those glyphs on. My playstyle is mixed...I generally PoM, shield, renew in a pattern and CoH or prayer of healing only as needed and not often. I think I'd like trying disc out at some point but run raids regularly with two holy paladins and am thinking I'd be more effective keeping with what I have right now?

If you're holy, CoH is fairly mandatory-- it's a 20% increase in one of your most efficient and highest throughput spells. You could argue either way that in light of the 6 sec cooldown this glyph is more or less necessary, because CoH will typically account for less of your healing, the glyph is getting used less. However, CoH will still be a great spell, and used everytime there's raid damage and the cooldown is up--so since you're limited in the number of its uses, when you DO use it, it's important it does as much as possible. Both perspectives are legit, imo.

I'm also using glyph of Flash Heal (10% mana efficiency) and glyph of Renew (20% HPS increase on renew). I'm not committed to the renew glyph, so i may change that in the future when content gets harder.

For minor glyphs, most have been discussed already, but i'm also using glyph of fading - it's basically 200 mana saved every time you use fade.

I think I'm using the same or close to what Beneficence is using.

Major- CoH, Flash, Renew...also not attached to renew.

Minor- Levitate, Fading, Shadowfiend

As holy, I tried the glyph of renew but as strange as it sounds my effective healing from renew went down while I was using it. I'm a big fan of lightwell so I use that glyph instead.

Major - Circle of Healing, Lightwell, Flash Heal
Minor - Levitate, Shadowfiend, Shadow Protection

I really like the shadow protection glyph, but the levitate one is mandatory. Floating is better than standing.

I'm discipline specced:

Major: Flash Heal, Power Word Shield and Holy Nova.
Minor: Levitate, Shadow Protection and Fortitude.

I think Prayer of Healing is also viable instead of Holy Nova but I enjoy the instant aspect of Nova too much; the mobility is tremendous on fights like Heroic Loken and Normal Malygos. I don't find that my Shadow Fiend dies that often but then again the mana I save from the Fortitude glyph is negligible. I suppose if I did PvP more often the fact that my Shadow Fiend may be targeted to deny me mana may convince me to move towards glyphing for it but for PvE I think it can go either way.

The Flash Heal glyph is great; it's tied with PoM for third most used spell in my arsenal after Penance and Shield. The Shield glyph is probably the easiest choice to make as a Disc priest; it's amazing. And Levitate is just plain fun. I expect it'll be even more so after the patch when we can cast it on others so there's no reason not to take it. Then again it's definitely something you can live without, so if for whatever reason you want to squeeze in another glyph I suppose you can take it out. Although I can't imagine there being that much competition for Priest minor glyph slots.

As a Disc I use Flash Heal, PW:Shield and Renew. I could never use the Holy Nova one since I use that to solo, especially came in handy slaughtering Frenzyhearts today.

For my Disc spec I'm running [Glyph of Dispel Magic], [Glyph of Power Word: Shield], and [Glyph of Flash Heal] for my majors

Thanks for the replies.

I changed some of my glyphs around and now have:

Major: Flash Heal, Circle of Healing, Power Word Shield (I can't help it, I like this one)
Minor: Levitate, Shadowfiend, Fading (I fade often)

I guess it's all a matter of preference, afterall. :P
