Heya everyone!

I'm new to these forums, a former tank coming straight from maintankadin.com. I've been a tank since launch of vanilla playing an orc, but that changed with wrath, where i decided to try something else. So naturally i started tanking with a paladin ;) However, recent changes in the guild have supplied us with more tanks, but fewer "tank" healers, so i stepped up and over into the lifegiver ranks. I've previously healed with a shaman, and i also got a priest alt that i enjoy greatly healing with. But given that my paladin is the main, i choose to keep him. I had little clue as for what setup, gear- and speccwise i was looking for, but after some time now i think i've got the gist of it, thanks to great reading from these forums, and holypaladin.net aswell.

So now i tread the stormy waters, and would have you give me tips on how i can improve the gear. There are several points i'm aware of, but i'll keep them to myself to see what you can provide me with. I've had access to 25man ICC up to recently, now its mostly 10man icc/iccHM and RS.

I'm at work, and this silly webfilter prevents me from visiting armory and the likes, but if i remember correctly..

Thanks in advance, and i'm looking forward to learning more from you lot :)
Enjoy summer!

Congratulations, you're very well geared so far - in fact, you look almost exactly like me, with the exception that I'm in strict-10 gear (as a result, I still have DMC:G as my second trinket, which is the major difference besides the shield). You're clear through ICC-10 and with the buff, probably the easier half of hardmodes, as well as Halion up to 25N at least.

As for stats, you're doing fine as far as I can see. Int and haste are your best friends, and you're well set up there. At this gear level, gemming for socket bonuses is defensible (I do it), since stacking gives the biggest gains early on. At middle gear levels, I went for Mp5 over Crit since the latter was gutted by the Illumination nerf, but with 251-264 I've been trying to strike a balance (I'm at about twice your in-combat regen, but about 5% less crit).

Coming from a shamanistic background is probably helpful, since gearing a healadin now is so different than traditionally - and so much shammy mail is actually useful to us (I wear two pieces, primarily because my crafting profession is LW on my alt, not BS on my main), that it has to be more like gearing a LK shaman than a BC paladin...
