I'm currently experiencing real problems with my survivablity. Aldo my gear isn't really good for pvp (hunter nor druid) I'm getting rapped pritty badly on my resto druid.

I'm wondering whether that's really up to my gear and specc or that our survivability has been nerfed bigtime. I've heared that resto druids with 800 ress goes down quit easely as well.

Your point of view on thisone pls ^^

Damage and burst scaled higher from 70-80 than health and resilience did. So everyone is going down faster than they did at 70. Eventually, they'll probably improve resilience a little to help the situation out but who knows when that will be. Until then, all you can do is keep increasing your stam and resilience and work on your kiting of melee classes.

Regarding an post that I saw on wowinsider, the big problem is: the new Resilience cap is at a staggering 1,230.

With full Deadly Gladiator, enchants and gems we would still only barely break 900. Eventually, that magic number of 1,230 will be attainable and PvP matches will take their proper sweet time.

Even with the Resil cap being so High once a priest hits 700 resil with a disc spec if played right they are extremely hard to kill. Until then skill-less arcane mages and rogues will probably walk all over you. I still find it pretty hard to survive with lower resil numbers but if you try not to get counter spelled , kicked etc and have a few cool downs up it shouldn't be to bad. I recommend speccing heavy disc though, while the 28/33 + 10 spec is useful, deeps discipline gives you great things like borrowed time that haste is godly when you are getting focus trained as well as grace and divine aegis.

Healers are in very poor shape at the start of this arena season. Burst damage is so much higher. Coupled with so many CCs/silences/Stuns, even a brief period of lack of control lets you or a teammate be killed. Healing thruput simply cannot keep up with damage at this time. The problem gets much worse the lighter your armor gets, with even good discipline priests lasting for a fraction of the time they used to. Many PvP priests actually went Holy spec, as some of their best healing was done with CoH in SoR form, especially with the original glyph.

Healers NEED tons of resil. Think of S4... when you pop'd a disc priest in brutal and realized you also had a rogue slinking around somewhere, you may have gone to the kitchen and shaken up a martini intead of trying to work your Ret/BM team to a victory. However, when you pop'd that silly little priest in T4 and his mage friend in part T5... you giggled to yourself for 8 seconds until the raiting tick showed you all 6 points you earned.

Healing in arenas has always relied on resil. For the time being, it might be best to try those hybrids for arenas if you really want to heal. The Resto-Kin is a great example. Pew-pew-pew NS-HT pew-pew rejuv-SM pew-pew.
