I've updated the calculator to the 5.2 Disc changes, for anyone who wants to play around with them. Enjoy!

Trying to evaluate the new shaman changes a bit, it looks like the "Echo of the Elements" checkbox does nothing?

Alas yes, I was going to find out exactly what the proc chance of it is from the various spells but never got around to it. My understanding is that not all spells have the same chance to proc it. If you got some more info on those chances I can try to incorporate it. But until we know those proc chances, I can't add it in the computations.

Hm I should add the 20% buff in, though I have a similar problem with incorporating the effect of earthliving on the various spells.

In general you might be able to measure the effect of the increase on Chain Heal, but frankly Healing Rain's numbers were awesome to begin with, getting it to not be wasted or overheal is harder. Maybe I should add some more knobs to it?

A: Echo of the Element’s proc chance is 6% for Elemental and Restoration, and 30% for Enhancement.

A: We mentioned Echo of the Elements having a short ICD before, and yes, it is also 0.1sec.

So presuming each heal of a chain heal has the 6% chance, then chain heal would have roughly a 22% chance to proc it. Everything else should be straight forward, but I haven't set out to measure it directly.

Yeah I don't trust that 6% that much. Does it also have a 6% chance to proc from every tick of Healing Rain for instance? Those links don't work btw. And given the small percent of the chance it's hard to go out and test it. Also I'm not sure it procs unless there's someone that can be healed nearby. But all this was a long time ago, I haven't tested it since.

Since healing rain isn't a direct heal, I would be surprised if Healing Rain can proc it at all. I also wouldn't expect riptide ticks to proc it, given the description. Elitist Jerks did some testing of the proc rate: http://elitistjerks.com/f79/t126899-mists_pandaria_all_specs/p5/

That looks useful, I'll see what I can incorporate. Not sure when I'll have the time to do it.

Btw for those wanting to chase down the formulas and don't mind looking at some javascript, the relevant file is basically:

https://github.com/skiadas/HealCalc3/blob/master/js/app/model/spell.js

I think everyone can follow that link, not sure.

Sorry if I was a bit snippy before, it's just that it all brought up painful memories of trying to test it in the early days. It has a tiny chance and it does not show up differently in the logs, just as a second cast of the spell, making it very annoying to say the least.

Hi,

I was just looking at the stat amount changes for holy priest's renew, but mastery is far too high and haste is 0 when looking at HPS, so something's not right here.

HealCalc is a handy little tool. Thank you.

Thanks Callu, the dependence to mastery needs to be fixed, I made an issue for it. Haste would only affect Renew's HPS if you add enough to cross a breakpoint, since Renew is on a 1 second CD, and that can't be reduced further.
