I've been lurking this forum on and off for some time now, but never really got around to creating an account. I've always liked the (seemingly
) mature environment here, plus it's a healer only forum of course. So for a short introduction, I've been playing a Holy Paladin as my main since about mid TBC, and I'm still enjoying it.
Now, my actual question is regarding the usefulness of engineering for us. I've been sporting JC/enchanting since pretty much forever now, and I'm getting a little bored of it. I've also always been quite envious of the fun tools engineering has to offer. In addition to the current state of JC, I'm considering to drop it and finally giving engineering a shot. Dropping enchanting is another option, but I've got quite a few rare formulla's for it which I wouldn't like losing.

In DS, most of the fights seem to require short(er) times when a lot of healing is required. This would be quite fitting for the Synapse Springs. I'd use it together with one of my cooldowns, or could possibly even use it with DP for an extra mana boost when I'd need it. Then there's the other fun perks like the Rocket Boots (not as reliable as before though), Parachute Cloak, and probably a whole lot more.
I'd like to have some opinions regarding this, I probably should mention I'm not really that much of a hardcore raider currently, mostly for fun and a laugh. Raiding 2-3 times a week, 10 man. Usually we two-heal the majority of the fights consisting me and a Resto Shaman, with a Resto Druid joining in when required.
Thanks a lot in advance!
