TBH, feeling like a holy priest

I will provide a link to my armory once I log out in my holy gear. Here ya go:MissRuPaul

I'm not sure if it's gear related or my spell selection, but I'm ooming within what feels like seconds. Since my pally is an alt I haven't been running logs on her, but I'd still like some advice on how to stop going oom nearly every boss encounter. In some cases I feel like the dps isn't high enough to kill the boss before the other heals and I go oom (we've exhausted every mana regen CD) and can't cast. In other instances I know I'm forgetting to hit my Plea once I get the full benefit. I feel like Divine Light is much more expensive and I can't sustain casting it even tho the tank keeps dropping to 20% hp nearly every boss hit. I don't feel like a tank healer anymore, which is what I loved about being a holy paladin in the first place. I miss judging every 6-10 sec, I miss whack a mole, and I miss being able to pump out enough heals to look good without worrying that I'm going to oom in a matter of seconds.

I'm also hating the changes to Holy Radiance, for once it was great to be the center of attention (I mean really, I beacon the tank and heal everyone with a flashlight, would it kill blizz to let me be a diva!?) and I loved the way it functioned, I could cast while glowing and was a nice gap closer. WTB glyph that "unfu¢ks" Holy Radiance /endgripe

It's probably just me needing to look at reforges and burying myself in tooltips to find when and where each spell could be used. Admittedly I need to pay more attention to the hammer icon above her head that indicates she needs to judge within 5 sec, hello extra spirit regen! I'll reply with the armory link... any advice is welcome :d

In other news: My disc priest and resto druid are hella fun!

Nothing changed for paladins in regards to tank healing.
The only thing that changed, is that paladins tend to get caught up in casting holy radiance and "forget" about healing the tank.
Where you would keep the tank topped off and holy light the raid when he's near full, you are now casting holy radiance, which does nothing for the tank.
When going to pure tank healing, you shouldn't spend as much mana on holy radiance, as you can't sustain spamming either holy radiance or divine light.
But as raid damage is high and positioning in DS is ideal for holy radiance, maybe you should agree with your fellow healers to be focussing a bit less on the tanks and only support tank healing.
No healer has enough mana to be spamming the raid and the tank.

You should have no trouble. I'd recommend Heartsong if you're really hurting for mana. It's too much regen to ignore, especially if you're frequently running out of mana early.

Definitely make sure you're keeping Judgements of the Pure up. If you keep using Quintessence then macro it to Divine Plea. Use something to remind you to use Plea when your mana gets down a little bit. Also remember to use Arcane Torrent early and often. I use Power Auras for all of these reminders.

As do I... I'm thinking it's a lack of dps in the groups I've been running with; the other 2 healers and I would run out of regen CDs and the boss would still be at 15% or so. Highest dps in the group was 24k most of em were around 16k and one or two were lower than that. I'm thinking this was the issue for the dps check fights like Zon'ozz and Ultraxion.
