Haste vs Mastery Help

Good Evening Plus Heals Folk,
BLUF if I cannot reach haste 2284 should I balance or even commit to Mastery given haste is over 777?

I have recently switched my main spec to Holy from Prot and I had a question concerning Haste/Mastery. I am not a theory crafter however I would like to understand the why in either direction vice some website saying "Haste over Mastery Period" I have read that our second Haste Plateau is at 777 for a 5th tick of Holy Radiance while under Divine Favor and our next break point is not until 2284, where we get a 6th tick if we are under Divine Favor and Blood Lust. After looking at the Logs for most Holy Paladins I see that Illuminated healing is usually the second highest heal. Mr. Robot gives the generic Spirit>Haste>Crit>Mastery.
I am wondering (if I am in that gray area where my gear is not quite enough to hit the 2284) is it more beneficial for me to gain mastery at the cost of haste? The diffence in 700-900 haste is like 0.?? seconds on a hard cast(relatively nominal).
Other information that may be helpful to those who are good at this stuff.
- I will be healing 10 Man content predominantly as tank heals and raid assist.
- Our heals team consists of 2 Resto Druids and 1 Holy Pally.
-We intend to 2 heal as much as feasible in DS = 1 Resto Druid and 1 Holy Pally.
-Next week will be my first real run in 10 man current content as Heals
-today I shifted a bunch of haste around but in test driving it I did not see much of a discernable change using recount (innaccurate I know I should have ran a log but I think LFR25 is so inconsistant and really built for Holy pally AoE to look nice)

I choose haste vs. Mastery for one reason. I heal 10 man and am expected to help raid heals when my tanks aren't getting their teeth kicked in. Mastery is great for us while were healing tanks, we can easily predict which one is gonna get hit, whereas damage to dps is fairly less consistent. If you don't know who's getting hit, theres no time to build up a bubble and all your left with is a half-assed heal coming way too late. now that mastery is off the table your two choices become crit and haste. i favor haste because crit is unpredictable. how am i supposed to know if the heal coming barely in time is gonna be enough or not? with crit i dont. Haste gives me an advantage in that i can fully understand my HPS, and have the flexibility to effectively put out the brush fires. Hope this helped.

I have been a mastery fan a long time, but mastery really is only good when you struggle with mana on fights.
Haste provides you more throughput, even with more bubbles from holy radiance.
Math shows us, that spamming more spells with lower bubbles, still heal for more then less spells with bigger bubbles and at the moment there is no factor that can change that.
That being said, you can stack haste until eternity and every point of haste will still heal more then a point of mastery.
It really comes down to a mana issue when you want to go more mastery.

Good Morning Plus Healers,
Thank you gentlemen for the timely replies. That does answer my question and will have me shifting my points back around to a Spirit>Haste>Mastery reforge and gem. Again thanks for the Advice
